PromptraTerms of Service
1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of the Promptra app, published by YM-Coded Studios, founded by Mohammed Yussif and based in Wa, Upper West Region, Ghana. By downloading or using Promptra you agree to them. If you don't, don't use the app.
Promptra is distributed through the Apple App Store, so Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where these terms conflict with Apple's, Apple's prevail for App Store distribution matters.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Promptra on devices you own or control, for personal or commercial content creation. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
3. Your content is yours
You retain all rights to the video, audio, scripts, and other content you create with Promptra. We claim no ownership or licence over it, and we do not use it to train any model. Because your content stays on your device, we generally have no access to it in the first place.
You are responsible for what you make and where you post it — including holding the rights to any music, footage, images, fonts, or likenesses you include.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Promptra to:
- Create or distribute content that is unlawful in your jurisdiction
- Infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights
- Impersonate a real person or organisation in a deceptive way
- Produce content that harasses, defames, or endangers anyone
- Circumvent the app's licensing, subscription, or security measures
5. Subscriptions
Some features require a paid subscription, sold through the Apple App Store and billed to your Apple Account.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Manage or cancel at any time in your Apple Account settings. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, under their policies. We cannot issue them directly.
- Prices may change. We'll give notice, and changes never apply to a period you've already paid for.
6. AI features
Promptra includes AI-assisted writing and editing. You should know:
- Output can be wrong. Review anything the AI produces before you publish it. It is a starting point, not a finished product.
- If you supply your own third-party API key, your use of that provider is governed by their terms, and any charges they levy are yours.
- You are responsible for disclosing AI-generated or AI-modified content where a platform, an advertiser, or the law requires it.
- AI features may be unavailable depending on your device, your iOS version, and your region.
7. Third-party platforms
Promptra can pass finished videos to third-party apps and services such as TikTok, Instagram or YouTube through Apple's share sheet. Those services are independent of us and governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for their availability, for moderation decisions they make about your content, or for changes they make to their platforms.
8. Availability
We aim to keep Promptra working well, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Features may change, and some may be removed — particularly where a third-party dependency or an operating system capability changes underneath us.
9. Back up your work
You are responsible for backing up your content. We are not liable for lost recordings, projects, or exports, however caused. Keep copies of anything you can't afford to lose.
10. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Promptra is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for Promptra in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you're a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
11. Termination
You may stop using Promptra at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these terms. Content on your device remains yours and stays there.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have exclusive jurisdiction. This does not affect any mandatory consumer protections available to you under the law of the country where you live, which continue to apply regardless.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be surfaced in the app or on this page before they take effect. Continuing to use Promptra after that means you accept them.
